Completion of the Building Envelope
The construction team is working towards another exciting milestone for the project: completion of the building envelope. The field crews completed roof paper and gutter installation in September. Once the building envelope is completed in October (plaster system, roof system, and exterior doors/windows), the building will be in a “water tight” condition where Vance Brown will be able to start on installation of the interior finishes: flooring, painting, light fixtures, etc. The MEP, insulation, and drywall trades continued with overhead work. Towards the end of September, their overhead work (above drywall ceiling) was about 80% complete. Further, the plumbing crew received and started installation of the shower tubs for all of the guest rooms.
Throughout October, Vance Brown will continue the metal roof, window, and plaster installations on the exterior. The site utility subcontractor is due to begin offsite utility connections (pending permit approval). Interior work will include completion of MEP rough-in/piping and door/glazing installation.
